We celebrated the New Year in Pokhara, the second largest city/town in Nepal. The best attraction in this city by the lake Phewa is the views of the Annapurna range. We climbed to Sarankgot(image 1) to get a better, closer look at the range that varies from 6.500m to more than 8.000m. For some time it was believed that one of the mountains in this range was the highest in the world. (image 2, looking down to Pokhara below)


Celebramos el ano nuevo en Pokhara, la segunda ciudad mas importante de Nepal. Las atracciones mas importante de la ciudad son el lago Phewa y las fabulosas vistas que de la cadena montanosa Annapurna se ven desde casi cualquier punto de la ciudad en los dias claros.
Subimos al Sarankgot (foto 1) para tener una vista aun mejor de la cadena montanosa cuya altura varia desde los 6.500m a los 8.000m. Durante un tiempo se creyo que una de los picos de esta cadena era el mas alto del mundo. (foto 2, vistas de Pokhara en el valle)
