Our first destination in India was Amritsar (pop 1.1 mil) in Punjab. Amritsar the home of the Golden Temple (image 1) was fouded by fourth guru of Sikhs, Ram Das in 1577, not the most architecturally challenged sites we have come accrossed so far.
The central bazaar in Amritsar (2) colorful, crowded and polluted as any other city in the sub continent.

La primera ciudad que visitamos en la India fue Amritsar (poblacion 1.1millones de habitantes), en la region del Punjab.
El Templo Dorado (foto 1), fundado por el cuarto guru sikh, Ram Das, en 1577. No es precisamente una joya arquitectonica, pero si que atrae peregrinos sikhs de todas partes del mundo.

El bazaar (mercado) en el centro de Amritsar (foto 2), muy animado, lleno de gente y con un monton de polucion, como cualquier otra ciudad del subcontinente.
